By its petition for writ of mandate, Michigan National Bank, a national banking association organized and existing under the laws of the United States of America (12 U.S.C.A. ? 21 et seq.), seeks review of an order which denied its motion to quash service of summons (see Code Civ. Proc., ? 418.10) which was purportedly effected through service on the Secretary of State in California (see Corp. Code, ?? 6500-6504). Following the grant of an alternative writ, the parties filed further briefs in support of their respective positions. On a consideration of the record it is determined that the trial court properly denied petitioners motion to quash the service of summons. The petition for a peremptory writ of mandate must be denied, and the alternative writ heretofore issued should be discharged.
